Prada = MORE BIEJING LOVE

ok so China.
its growing. and the fashion industry is well aware.
Beijing is being tipped as a new fashion city with high fashion designers bringing their collection to them, not visa versa.
Prada staged a show on the 22nd of Jan and although sporting designs previously featured in Milan for s/s11 there are a few NEW arrivals to the collection which have only been shown in where else but Beijing.

But hold on to your seats savvy shoppers the designs are going west and prada (Miuccia being a clever little devil) is rolling out an ordering service for these designs that coincide with f/w fashion weeks starting in New York and ending in Paris. The Beijing designs will be available at select stores in those cities: Via Montenapoleone in Milan; Avenue Montaigne in Paris; Old Bond Street in London; and Broadway in New York.

once an order is placed its said that the customer will wait 4 weeks while their chosen piece(s) are specially manufactured!

ok so Prada's Spring summer 2011 campaign is released!


its just UN-REAL i loved the collection i love the advertisements and now i love the video campaign!
its like Spring 2010 all over again
i think the casting of Arizona Muse, Kinga Rajzak, Zuzanna Bijoch, Mariacarla Boscono and Tati Cotliar were all so well done, they all look so similar and they really do push the inspiration of Miuccia Prada which were Josephine Baker with an Olive Oil twist!
i could honest to god watch this over and over again and i will hit up that song as soon as i find out who its by and it will be getting serious playings on my itunes!

Couture and its relavance

I LOVE this video although i think it was aired a while back, I'm a student and i do not own a TV at my flat, only because we can only get channel 1..... great.

watching it though i wish that we still had balls such as these because they are sooooooooooooo beautiful.

If we did though, the chardonnay (and I'm not talking the champagne) society would all be wearing the most ghastly Primark dresses.

I WISH COUTURE WAS STILL AS RELAVANT AS IT ONCE WAS. maybe just less expensive...

17th of December, time to go forward

Ok so I'm going to blog, Ive decided it needs to be done and now there seems to be much to blog about and also i have more time:

First
I'm back in Harrogate for xmas, no more Bright Lights of London , or flickering dim ones of Rochester for a few weeks. Harrogate likes to refer to itself as some form of drama central some form of gossip girl and its really laughable.
I'm so happy to see my family and close friends and i really hope to get on with uni work which I'm not going to lie I'm falling behind in.

Carine Roitfeld is leaving French Vogue at the end of Jan 2011 reports claim to work on personal projects. the only thing i am wondering is who will be her successor, as we know French Vogue for being visually beautiful so i wonder what effect a new editor will have on the direction of the magazine!

how B E A utiful are Laura and Kate Mulleavy designs for the movie 'Black Swan's entire ballet corps!
That is the film Ive PROMISED myself to see as soon as i can! it looks visually stunning!

Whats on my mind?

today is just another day
and my mind is pretty blank.
i dont know if thats a good thing whether that means im clear minded or just thoughtless.
i am having a serious look through all of my playlists and composing best of Summer 2010, so far its sounding tidy ;)

Memories

so i was at work just tapping on my keyboard and all of a sudden over the radio The Wanted 'All Time Low' came on and all memories of saturday nighn in back door disco mission two came flooding back of me on stage pulling what i thought were some serious shapes, going low when they say all time low that sort of thing, i swear i must have thought i was in the band or something!

this made me think about when ever i hear, or see or smell something and how this can snap back memories so simply. for example i once stayed at a guys who played me my fave F+TM song and now when i hear it i remember that morning, wish i could say that was a good thing. how strange and wonderful the human mind is to do things like that, the only thing is, one good memory usually links to a bad one so in a way its a double edged sword.
just a thought really.

OK, i am in love with this song im such a fan of KP but i was looking through the lyrics and came across this:

Now darling in the five years i have been names a 'Teen' i have never experience this. Jeeze! my life seems pretty dull.... well not really, just not cute or lovey dovey.

I hope moving down south will not make me a colder person, i really want to grow into a better person but ive realised im too quick to judge and either give myself away too easy or dont do it all, i need to find the balance in balenciaga ;)
